Luis Fabiano, em análise da primeira rodada do Brasileirão, destacou o rendimento do Botafogo. Vivendo um período de reconstrução, o time alvinegro esteve próximo de, mais uma vez, triunfar no Allianz Parque, algo que fez o comentarista elogiar o estilo ofensivo de Renato Paiva. Ameaçando o rival em contra-ataques rápidos, o atual campeão nacional, caso estivesse com a pontaria calibrada, poderia ter somado três pontos.
“O Botafogo me surpreendeu, viu?! Teve vários contra-ataques e várias oportunidades. Jogou de igual para igual.”, disse Luis Fabiano, no Resenha da Rodada.

Incluindo o Palmeiras entre os melhores elencos do Brasileirão, Luis Fabiano compreende o momento do clube. Apesar da pressão da torcida, o ex-jogador acredita que a final do Campeonato Paulista trouxe um grande impacto para o jogo diante do Botafogo.
“O Palmeiras, junto com o Flamengo, são os grandes elencos do futebol brasileiro. (O Palmeiras) está vivendo um momento complicado porque vem de uma perda de título desgastante na quinta-feira e jogou no domingo.”.
“O Botafogo faz tempo que não joga, é normal que (o Palmeiras) tenha sofrido um pouco.”, afirmou.
Ao contrário do Botafogo, o São Paulo não impressionou Luis Fabiano. Ficando no empate com o Sport, em casa, o Tricolor mostrou que, sem Lucas Moura e Oscar, não consegue manter um nível satisfatório e, segundo o ídolo do clube, vive uma situação preocupante.
“Precisa melhorar muito. É longo e precisa de elenco, uma coisa que nos preocupa.? O que me chama atenção é o tempo que ficou parado para trabalhar e treinar”.”
“Tudo influencia, você não tem a certeza da continuidade do treinador. Está sempre pressionado, passa a pressão para o jogador, diretoria com dificuldade financeira, a torcida não abraça como antes.”, externou.
