Ex-zagueiro e volante, aposentado recentemente, Felipe Melo não tem dúvidas ao cravar a defesa do Flamengo como a melhor do futebol brasileiro nesta temporada.
Em participação no programa “Fechamento SporTV” nesta semana, o novo comentarista do Grupo Globo concordou com as palavras do apresentador André Rizek sobre a defesa do time rubro-negro.
“Eu acho que a diferença maior do Flamengo para os outros times é na defesa. Tem muito jogador bom na parte ofensiva, mas outros times também têm jogadores bons na frente. Agora, na defesa a diferença está muito grande”, analisou Rizek.
Na sequência, Felipe Melo, concordou com a análise.
“A (defesa) do Flamengo é acima”, destacou.

Na mesma discussão, o também comentarista Eric Faria destacou que a defesa do Botafogo também deveria ser considerada entre as melhores.
“Tem o Jair que está chegando ao Botafogo e tem essa característica de quebrar linhas e dar bons passes, o Barboza tem um passe longo muito bom… O Botafogo tem quatro laterais que poderiam ser titulares na grande maioria dos times do Brasil: Mateo Ponte, Vitinho, Alex Telles e Cuiabano… A defesa do Flamengo pode ser melhor, mas a linha de defesa do Botafogo é muito boa também”, disse Faria.
Felipe Melo então avaliou o time alvinegro abaixo do Flamengo, mas entre os melhores.
“O Flamengo é o melhor, mas o Botafogo está entre os três melhores”, cravou o ex-jogador.
