During the visit, Brayden was accompanied by his father, Champ Bailey, a legendary NFL cornerback who spent most of his career with the Washington Redskins and Denver Broncos.
Champ, who starred at the University of Georgia before being drafted No. 7 overall in 1999, also took time to speak with the Colorado roster, sharing insights from his storied football career.
What did Brayden say about the experience?
Reflecting on the experience, Brayden expressed his excitement upon receiving the scholarship offer.
“I am very thankful to receive an offer from a great school and football program led by Prime,” he told 247 Sports.
His visit to Colorado gave him the opportunity to witness a competitive atmosphere within the team, and he was particularly inspired by watching athletes like Julian Lewis and Quentin Gibson play during the scrimmage.
Brayden Bailey‘s football career is still in its early stages, but he has already made an impression. As a freshman, he earned honorable mention all-region honors for his performance as both a cornerback and wide receiver. In addition to football, Brayden is also a standout basketball player and a track athlete, further showcasing his athletic versatility.
Champ Bailey‘s legacy as one of the NFL’s greatest cornerbacks-highlighted by 931 tackles, 52 interceptions, and 12 Pro Bowl selections-continues to inspire his son.
With his first scholarship offer in hand, Brayden now has a bright future ahead of him, with many more opportunities sure to come as he continues to develop his skills on the field.
