Podle trenéra anglického klubu Unaie Emeryho se argentinský brankář s reakcemi na provokaci vyrovná. „Je vyspělý, zodpovědný, stále lépe ovládá své emoce. Myslím, že ve srovnání s tím, když přišel před pěti lety do Aston Villy, je to teď jiný Emiliano,“ hájil svého svěřence trenér, který s Martínezem spolupracoval už v Arsenalu.
„Je lepším hráčem, lepším brankářem. Je to jeden z nejlepších gólmanů na světě – dostal za to ocenění tady v Paříži,“ dodal Emery s tím, že nyní je čas soustředit se jen na fotbal.
Pro Emeryho bude středeční zápas s Paris Saint-Germain také speciální, protože klub do roku 2018 trénoval.
