Cicinho avalia que o Corinthians não tem condições de terminar o Brasileirão no G-4. Neste cenário, ex-jogador defende uma prioridade do clube alvinegro atrelada ao título da Sul-Americana. Isso porque, ao contrário dos pontos corridos, o torneio continental possui times inferiores, motivo pelo qual uma vaga na Libertadores de 2026 é mais acessível através do mata-mata.
“Eu não entendo essa postura do Ramón Díaz e da diretoria do Corinthians. A Sul-Americana dá um dinheiro legal e classificação direta para a Libertadores. Até porque, no Campeonato Brasileiro, não vai dar para o Corinthians! Acho que nem vai classificar para a Libertadores.”, disse Cicinho, no Jogo Aberto.
“Na Copa do Brasil, os times são superiores ao Corinthians. Se tem times que o Corinthians pode jogar de igual para igual é na Sul-Americana. Por que não investe na Sul-Americana?”, acrescentou.
Cicinho “torce” para o Corinthians avançar na Sul-Americana
Lembrando que o título do Paulistão não tem utilidade para a Libertadores, Cicinho vê uma necessidade de valorização da Sul-Americana. Além disso, levando em conta o histórico do Timão em jogos de mata-mata na América do Sul, o comentarista espera uma classificação rumo ao mata-mata.
“Paulistinha não leva para a Libertadores. O Corinthians, pela fragilidade dos adversários da Sul-Americana, tem condições de disputar o título e ir para a Libertadores. Se o Corinthians sair da Sul-Americana, acaba nossa alegria.”, prosseguiu.

Anteriormente, Cicinho alertou que Ramón Díaz, em alguns momentos, prejudica o rendimento do Corinthians. Mesmo com o título paulista, o ex-jogador não enxerga o treinador sendo capaz de conquistar grandes conquistas à frente da equipe alvinegra.
“O treinador do Corinthians foi contratado para tirar o time da zona do rebaixamento e acabou. Lutar por título não é a dele. Ele se perde nas substituições e o Corinthians acaba se apequenando diante das dificuldades.”, externou.
