Cafu foi convicto ao escolher o melhor jogador que acompanhou no futebol. Embora tenha atuado ao lado de Ronaldo e Romário, o ex-jogador vê Ronaldinho Gaúcho ocupando o posto. Como enfrentou o ‘Bruxo’ no auge pelo Barcelona, houve um recado direto envolvendo a marcação acirrada em campo.
“Eu falo para todo mundo. O maior e o melhor jogador que eu joguei foi o Ronaldinho Gaúcho. Não tem (outro). E olha que o Ronaldinho só jogou quatro anos. Ele jogou pouco tempo, mas ele bagunçou!”, disse Cafu, em entrevista ao podcast Super Mundo GV.
“A gente parava para ver os jogos do Barcelona. Eu enfrentei e passei raiva. Teve uma hora que eu falei: ‘Dá para jogar do outro lado?’ Se não, eu vou ter que te bater’. Era difícil enfrentar ele.”, acrescentou.
Cafu recorda “ajuda” para gol histórico de Ronaldinho Gaúcho
Crucial no duelo contra a Inglaterra, pelas quartas de final da Copa do Mundo de 2002, Ronaldinho Gaúcho recebeu um aviso de Cafu sobre David Seaman. Percebendo que o inglês costumava ficar adiantado, o capitão do penta, indiretamente, também teve participação no golaço de falta.
“Foi nada (sem querer). Foi tudo pensado. Um golaço! Eu que contei do goleiro que vivia adiantado. Ele vivia adiantado. Mas só ele mesmo para meter a bola onde meteu. Não foi sem querer, ele que meteu a bola lá.”, relembrou.
Geração sem vaidades no Brasil
Presente em uma equipe repleta de craques, Cafu destacou que o grupo do penta não dava espaço para vaidades. Neste cenário, todos os integrantes da seleção brasileira tinham uma grande importância, algo decisivo na campanha do título.
“Sabe porque o Brasil ganhou? Quando o Ronaldo estava mal, o Rivaldo estava bem. Quando o Ronaldo e o Rivaldo estava mal, o Ronaldinho Gaúcho estava bem. Quando os três estavam mal, o Roberto Carlos fazia um gol de falta. Quando tudo desse errado, o Roque Júnior, Lúcio ou Edmílson faziam o gol de cabeça.”
“Nós tínhamos opções e não tinha vaidade. O Ronaldo não precisava fazer todos os gols e o Rivaldo não precisava ser o melhor em campo em todos os jogos. Tinha essa variação. Todo mundo era importante na seleção brasileira.”, afirmou.
