Danilo volta a atuar pelo Flamengo após quase dois meses de ausência. O zagueiro foi escalado como titular por Filipe Luís nesta quarta-feira, para enfrentar o Juventude, pela 4ª rodada do Brasileirão. Sua última partida havia sido em 22 de fevereiro, contra o Maricá, pela fase de classificação do Campeonato Carioca.
Desde então, o jogador de 33 anos sofreu com duas lesões consecutivas no músculo posterior da coxa esquerda, que o tiraram de combate por quase dois meses.
Mesmo assim, ele havia sido relacionado no último domingo, na vitória sobre o Grêmio, mas ficou apenas no banco de reservas. Hoje, é a principal novidade do time que inicia no Maracanã.

Relembre lesão
Antes da semifinal do Estadual, contra o Vasco, no início de março, Danilo passou a sentir um problema na coxa. Esta lesão o tirou de combate, e o fez até ser cortado da seleção brasileira na última data Fifa.
Semanas depois, voltou a apresentar o mesmo problema, e teve de reiniciar o tratamento no local. Desde então, o departamento médico do Flamengo vinha tendo muita cautela com a situação do jogador de 33 anos, que ainda se readapta ao futebol brasileiro, e tem apenas cinco jogos disputados em 2025.
Com a volta de Danilo, o Flamengo só fica com Matías Viña na lista do departamento médico. O lateral-esquerdo teve grave problema no joelho direito em agosto do ano passado.
