Walter Casagrande está convicto de que o São Paulo não será o campeão brasileiro de 2025. Na avaliação do ex-jogador, o time comandado por Luis Zubeldía não tem peças o bastante para encarar de igual para igual as 38 rodadas da competição.
Por outro lado, Casão imagina que o Tricolor pode sim novamente brigar por uma vaga direta para a Libertadores do próximo ano. Em 2024, a equipe paulista terminou com a sexta melhor campanha da competição, com 59 pontos.
“O São Paulo tem um bom time, mas acho que não luta pelo título do Campeonato Brasileiro.” Vai jogar como foi no ano passado para ter uma vaga na Libertadores direta. “Rebaixamento não”, projetou Casagrande, no canal “Tricolaços”, do YouTube.
A estreia do SPFC acontece no próximo sábado (29), contra o Sport, às 18h30 (de Brasília), no estádio do Morumbi. Para esta partida, tudo leva a crer que Lucas Moura não terá condições de jogo por conta de um trauma no joelho sofrido na semifinal do Campeonato Paulista.
A novidade do dia ficou por conta do volante Luan, que foi reintegrado ao elenco principal e passa a treinador com os companheiros.
E na Copa do Brasil, Casagrande?
Para Casagrande, o SPFC, por sua vez, pode sim entrar na disputa pelo título da Copa do Brasil. Por ser um torneio curto e mata-mata, Casão acredita que o Tricolor tem condições de brigar com Cruzeiro, Botafogo e demais rivais.
Campeão em 2023, o clube paulista aguarda o sorteio da terceira fase para saber qual adversário terá pela frente no torneio nacional.
SPFC define saída
O São Paulo vai promover dois garotos formados em Cotia. Com o empréstimo de Erick ao Vitória, Lucas Ferreira e Henrique Carmo estão integrados ao elenco principal para a sequência da temporada. Maik, Ryan Francisco e Matheus Alves já fazem parte do grupo.
Cobrado pela utilização dos jovens, Zubeldía explica que todos terão oportunidades e lembra que também depende deles ter uma minutagem maior.
“O que mais temos que pensar é em montar um elenco no qual os garotos tenham espaço. E eles vão ter, porque saíram 15 jogadores e chegaram apenas quatro. Mas incluir os jovens está relacionado com a organização do elenco. É um desafio muito importante e ousado. Também depende deles se imporem e manterem o nível que mostraram na Copinha”, disse ao UOL.
