Fábio Sormani não tem dúvidas em relação ao melhor comentarista de futebol no Brasil. Diante da experiência com Paulo Calçade, atualmente na ESPN, o experiente comunicador vê o antigo colega sendo capaz de debater conceitos estratégicos com os treinadores. Neste cenário, o modo de interpretação do jogo foi levado em consideração para a escolha.
“Eu trabalhava na Rádio Bandeirantes com o Paulo Calçade. Nós éramos os dois comentaristas. Para mim, o Paulo Calçade é o melhor comentarista de futebol do Brasil. É o cara que mais enxerga o jogo.”, disse Sormani, em entrevista ao Barbacast.
“Ele consegue conversar de igual para igual com o treinador.”, acrescentou.
Estilo polêmico de Sormani
Dono de fortes opiniões, Sormani jamais quis mudar de comportamento para ganhar espaço na mídia esportiva. Por conta disso, ao longo do trabalho com Calçade, houve uma preferência definida pela chefia.
“Nosso chefe preferiu o Paulo Calçade comentando porque ele queria aquele tipo de comentário. Aquela coisa mais didática e mostrando o jogo. Eu comentava desse jeito (mais informal). Eu sempre fui o segundo em tudo que é lugar. De uns dez anos pra cá, abriu espaço para mim. Mas eu sempre fui assim. Eu não me vejo como referência. Cada um tem seu jeito.”, afirmou.
Convite da Globo?
Apesar da trajetória em diferentes veículos, Sormani, torcedor declarado do Santos, jamais foi procurado pela Globo. Porém, caso o convite fosse feito, a possibilidade seria aceita apenas com um salário vantajoso pago no contrato.
“Nunca fui convidado. Talvez por causa do meu estilo. Não dá para comparar com o Felipe Melo. Hoje, dá para ter um Felipe Melo (na televisão). Antigamente, não dava. Hoje em dia, eu não vou. Pode me convidar… só se for muito dinheiro, óbvio. Trabalho um ano e peço demissão.”, afirmou.
