Zájem o místo v lodi je velký. Mahler, který začínal s veslováním v Praze a nyní kombinuje vrcholový sport se studiem na jedné z nejprestižnějších univerzit, tak předstihne i takové legendy českého veslování, jako byli Ondřej Synek nebo Václav Chalupa.
Pouze Milan Bruncvík, dnes již bývalý český reprezentant, se závodu zúčastnil, a to v roce 2013, také v barvách Cambridge.
