Caio Ribeiro vê com bons olhos dois nomes que estão na mira da CBF para assumir a seleção. Além de Carlo Ancelotti, prioridade da entidade no passado, o ex-jogador aprova a possibilidade de Jorge Jesus retornar ao Brasil. Levando em conta o atual momento de crise, a nacionalidade do treinador foi colocada em segundo plano no discurso.
“Eu acho que tem grandes chances (Jorge Jesus). Eu gosto dos dois nomes. A gente tem que analisar trabalho e currículo, e não o passaporte.”, disse Caio Ribeiro, no Globo Esporte.
“Quando a gente fala de Ancelotti e Jorge Jesus, estamos falando de dois dos melhores.”, acrescentou.
Exigência de Caio Ribeiro
Diante da qualidade de Ancelotti e Jorge Jesus, Caio Ribeiro reprova qualquer tipo de veto para estrangeiros na seleção. Como existe uma necessidade urgente atrelada ao ciclo de Copa do Mundo, o comentarista defende uma decisão pautada apenas em critérios profissionais.
“Tem que parar com essa coisa de ‘tem que ser um treinador brasileiro’. Tem que ser um cara bom que vai resolver o problema da nossa seleção.”, afirmou.
Filipe Luís na seleção?
Anteriormente, Caio Ribeiro também aprovou o nome de Filipe Luís, em alta no Flamengo. Porém, como o técnico busca dar sequência ao trabalho à frente do Rubro-Negro, a possibilidade de saída é improvável.
“É difícil, porque os grandes nomes estão envolvidos com o Mundial de Clubes e dificilmente eles vão largar o trabalho agora. Mas eu pensaria em um estrangeiro como o Jorge Jesus e em um brasileiro como o Filipe Luís.”, opinou.
