„Von jungen Talenten die Nummer 1“ – Mutige Ansage von BVB-Hoffnung Ramaj

Anfang Februar unterschrieb Diant Ramaj (23) bis 2029 bei Borussia Dortmund, wurde aber gleich bis Ende der Saison an den FC Kopenhagen ausgeliehen. Der Deutsch-Kosovare durchlief die DFB-Jugendmannschaften, spielte zuletzt 2021 für die U20. Seitdem wurde er nicht mehr nominiert. Als BILD das Top-10-Ranking der deutschen Torhüter veröffentlichte, die derzeit fit sind, fehlte der gebürtige Stuttgarter.

SPORT BILD: Herr Ramaj, vielen Dank, dass Sie überhaupt mit uns sprechen. Immerhin tauchen Sie nicht in den Top 10 auf.

Diant Ramaj: „Ehrlich gesagt höre ich gerade zum ersten Mal von diesem Ranking. Ich bin auch nicht so ein Fan dieser Statistiken. Mir ist wichtig, wie ich mich selbst sehe. Und wo. Das ist auf jeden Fall nicht unterhalb der Top 10, sondern weiter oben.“

Wo denn genau?

„Von den jungen Talenten bin ich die Nummer 1 – meiner Meinung nach. Wenn wir die ältere Generation dazuzählen, ist Neuer ganz klar der Beste. Dann gibt es ter Stegen, Nübel, Baumann. Aber ich vergleiche mich nicht mit denen, sondern mit den jüngeren Torhütern. Es geht ja um die Zukunft und nicht um die Vergangenheit.“

Trotzdem bitte einen Blick in die Vergangenheit – wer war Ihr Torwart-Idol, als Sie aufgewachsen sind?

„Ganz früher habe ich mir viel von Lev Yashin abgeschaut. Ich setze mich viel mit dem auseinander, was vor mir war. Und da bin ich auf Yashin gestoßen. Mich hat seine Mentalität und seine Geradlinigkeit beeindruckt. Mein Vorbild ist Manuel Neuer. Er hat das moderne Torwartspiel geprägt und in die richtige Richtung geführt.“

[–>Ihr eigenes Spiel wirkt sehr ungewöhnlich, teilweise sehen Sie bei Ihren Paraden wie ein Karate-Kämpfer aus.

„Das mache ich aus Instinkt. Es gibt einen Ball – und den will ich mir holen. Wie ich an ihn komme, das ist zweitrangig. Hauptsache, er ist bei mir.“

Man sagt Torhütern nach, dass Sie gerne etwas anders ticken als andere. Sehen Sie das an sich auch?

„Ein bisschen verrückt muss man als Torhüter schon sein. Um es nach ganz oben zu schaffen, muss man auch schon mal einen anderen Weg gehen als die anderen.“

Wie würden Sie Ihren Weg beschreiben?

„Mein Weg ist meine Mentalität. Ich bin sehr gradlinig und sehr ehrlich. Das spiegelt sich auf dem Platz wider. Ich gehe raus, auch, wenn es wehtut. Und auch, wenn da ein anderer nicht rausgehen würde.“

Das hat Ihnen einen Vertrag bei Borussia Dortmund eingebracht. Kommen Sie im Sommer als Nummer eins?

„Erst mal ist Dortmund ein großer Verein, da ist es nicht einfach, Nein zu sagen. Ich soll in Kopenhagen Spielpraxis sammeln. Da will ich Leistung zeigen, und der Rest kommt von selbst.“

Aber hoffen Sie auf die Nummer eins?

„Das wäre ein Erfolg. Und wenn man Erfolg haben will, dann muss man viele Sachen richtig machen. Und wenn man viele Sachen richtig macht, dann hat man Erfolg (lacht).“

Vielleicht dann ja auch wirklich in Zukunft in der Nationalmannschaft. Wann hatten Sie denn zuletzt Kontakt zum DFB?

„Mit Manuel Schneider, meinem früheren Torwart-Trainer, stehe ich ab und zu in Kontakt. Von der ersten Mannschaft habe ich bisher noch nichts gehört. Aber ich weiß – wenn ich meine Leistung bringe, wird es schwer, nicht auf dem Radar zu sein. Der anstehende Generationenwechsel ist sicher kein Nachteil für mich.“

Was würden Sie dem kosovarischen Verband antworten, wenn der Sie einladen würde?

„Den Kontakt gab es schon. Nicht mit mir persönlich, aber zu meinem Umfeld. Das Interesse ist sehr stark. Aber ich will in meiner Karriere den maximalen Erfolg haben.“

In Ihrer Vita steht der Sieg in der Europa League mit Eintracht Frankfurt – ohne eine einzige Spielminute. Fühlen Sie sich als Europapokal-Sieger?

„Klar! Das war mein erstes Jahr in Frankfurt, und ich bin sehr dankbar dafür, dass ich einen Europapokal in die Höhe stemmen konnte. Ich hoffe, das ist ein gutes Omen für meine weitere Karriere.“

Nach Ihrem Wechsel von Frankfurt zu Ajax haben Sie gesagt, dass Sie früher mit der Mannschaft auf der PlayStation gespielt haben. Welche anderen Teams haben Sie virtuell zu Siegen geführt?

„Mittlerweile habe ich fast keine Zeit mehr dafür. Wenn ich nicht auf dem Platz bin, kümmere ich mich um meinen viermonatigen Sohn. Früher habe ich neben Ajax auch mit Dortmund gespielt. Allerdings auch mit Real Madrid und – ja, ich gebe es zu – Bayern München.“
