The second round of the men’s NCAA tournament hadn't even finished, and all brackets were officially busted.Only 11 entries in Yahoo Sports’ Men’s Bracket Mayhem made it through the first round unscathed, meaning they picked 32 of 32 games correctly. That’s even with fewer upsets than normal over the first two days of the tournament, too. Then, after the first two games on Saturday, that number was brought down to one. But after Michigan rallied back to beat Texas A&M, the final bracket was busted.Saturday’s first of game to open the second round went about as expected, with No. 5 Purdue rolling past No. 12 McNeese to reach the Sweet 16. That eliminated three more perfect entries, and got us down to single digits for the first time. Then, after Arkansas upset Rick Pitino and No. 2 St. John's, only […]

Part of the charm of the NCAA tournament is the early-round upsets. There hasn't been much of that this year. The top four seeds in each region went 16-0 in the first round. There were some minor upsets but the most popular championship pick in Yahoo Bracket Mayhem to get knocked off was Kansas. That's due to just two double-digit seeds (No. 10 New Mexico and No. 12 Colorado State) winning on Friday. Here are the picks for Sunday's second-round games, with all odds from BetMGM:All times Eastern. The two-time defending national champ Huskies had an odd season. France hold off Ireland as Scotland edge Wales in Women’s Six Nations

France held off a second-half Ireland fightback to claim a 27-15 victory in the opening match of the 2025 Women's Six Nations in Belfast. The visitors led 17-5 at the interval following converted tries from Gabrielle Vernier and Marine Menager but a 45th-minute red card for the former gave Ireland a way back into the contest at Kingspan Stadium. Ireland quickly made their numerical advantage count as Neve Jones and Aoife Wafer - with her second try of the match - helped reduce the deficit to 17-15, but that was as close as the hosts would get and Emilie Boulard's late score ultimately handed France victory. March Madness 2025: No. 5 Purdue makes easy work of No. 12 McNeese to advance to Sweet 16

Purdue is heading to the Sweet 16 again. The No. 4 Boilermakers jumped out to a big lead over No. 12 McNeese in the first half on the way to a 76-62 win in the second round of the NCAA tournament. It wasn’t nearly as pretty in the second half, but Purdue built itself so much of a cushion in the first 20 minutes that its struggles in the final 20 minutes didn’t matter.Purdue led 38-20 at the break as McNeese struggled on both ends of the floor. The Cowboys shot just 31% from the field, got out-rebounded by 10 and Purdue players consistently got great looks behind the arc and by the basket. For a brief moment, it looked like the Cowboys were going to score fewer than 20 points in the half a game after Clemson had just 13 […]
