The NFL is a league in constant flux, and salaries are no exception. Recent reports reveal that the Dallas Cowboys are set to offer Micah Parsons a monstrous contract, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league’s history.

But don’t hold your breath-the Dallas Cowboys and Micah Parsons haven’t signed a thing yet. The holdup? The team left Parsons’ agent, David Mulugheta, out of the negotiations, and Parsons won’t put pen to paper without his agent’s involvement and approval. To the frustration of both sides, the Cowboys haven’t spoken to Mulugheta since the NFL Scouting Combine.
It’s a tactic straight out of the Dallas Cowboys’ playbook, one backed by Executive Vice President Stephen Jones, who loves cutting through the middleman and talking directly to players.
They’ve pulled this move before, holding face-to-face contract talks with Tony Romo, DeMarcus Lawrence, Jason Witten, and Zack Martin-all without their agents in the room.
