Muller não demonstra grandes expectativas em relação ao desempenho do Palmeiras no Mundial de Clubes. Embora o time alviverde esteja presente em um grupo acessível, com Porto, Inter Miami e Al-Ahly, o ex-jogador prevê uma eliminação precoce. “Eu acredito que ele está fazendo de tudo, começando pelas palavras, para ser mandado embora pela Leila. Ele mesmo não aguenta mais ficar. Pelas declarações, dá para perceber que, depois do Mundial, ele quer vazar.”, disse Muller, no programa Gazeta Esportiva.

Antes do Mundial, o Palmeiras busca recuperar o bom futebol, algo pendente em 2025. Levando em conta o atual rendimento, Muller vê uma conduta de humildade sendo necessária, mas o comentarista não projeta Abel Ferreira assumindo o atual viés de baixa.
“O treinador tem que ter humildade de reconhecer que não está bem. Todo mundo passa por uma fase ruim. Chegar em uma final e não ganhar… vice e último é a mesma coisa. Ele não tem humildade para reconhecer que está mal.”, afirmou.
Estreia abaixo do esperado no Brasileirão
Mesmo sem admitir publicamente, Muller considera que Abel Ferreira vem dando sinais do momento complicado do Palmeiras. Ficando no empate com o Botafogo, pela primeira rodada do Brasileirão, o time alviverde segue pressionado após contratar reforços de peso, mas ainda não engrenar em campo.
“Empatar, dentro de casa, com um Botafogo todo desfigurado? É mais um reflexo da má fase que passa o Palmeiras desde o ano passado.”
“Quando um treinador vem na coletiva e se apega a detalhes que não tem nada a ver com o momento, ele sabe que está mal.”, alertou.
