Jak těžké je přijmout prohru v takovém zápase, ve kterém soupeř vystřelí devětkrát a obraz hry vypadá jednoznačně ve váš prospěch?
Já bych úplně nechtěl říkat, jestli to bylo jednoznačné nebo ne. Máme před sebou kvalitního soupeře a možná to tak vypadá kvůli poměru střel, ale je to play off. Je to hokej a v tom je právě hezký. Dneska jsme to nedotáhli a nezbývá nám než to hodit za hlavu. Hned zítra se to pokusíme napravit.
Co udělat v dalších utkáních jinak, abyste byli úspěšnější?
Věděli jsme, že nás nečeká nic jednoduchého, že proti nám stojí silný soupeř. Hraje výborně ve středním pásmu, je tam velmi kompaktní a má to dobře nacvičené. My se musíme víc rvát před bránou, abychom se dostávali k odraženým pukům a vytvořili si víc šancí.
Máte nejlepší přesilovku v play off, Kometa nejhorší. Ale oslabení dnes odehrála skvěle. Ukázalo se, že vás má soupeř načtené?
To nedokážu posoudit. Samozřejmě máme všichni videa a podobné nástroje, abychom se připravili jeden na druhého. Dneska jsme si přesilovkami nepomohli tak, jak bychom potřebovali, ale myslím si, že kluci je hrají výborně a brzy nějakou proměníme.

Snažili jste se povzbudit Josefa Kořenáře, pro něhož nebyl návrat do branky jednoduchý?
Takové zápasy jsou těžké pro každého brankáře. Nechodí na něj moc střel, a kvůli tomu není rozchytaný. Pepa je ale výborný gólman. Je tu pro nás celou sezonu, a to se jedním těžkým zápasem nezmění.
Série s Třincem byla plná šarvátek, dnes byl zápas klidnější. Budou další zápasy už emotivnější?
Nemyslím si, že to bylo klidnější. Každá série je trochu jiná, ale právě proto se nedají mezi sebou srovnávat. Zápasy s Třincem jsou už za námi a my se soustředíme na to, co máme před sebou. Každý zápas i jeho malý detail je důležitý.
Na konci každé třetiny jste dostali gól. Jsou dotažení do konce něco, na co se teď zaměříte?
Je to semifinále play off a určitě nikdo z nás nic nevypustil. Jedeme na krev každé střídání každého zápasu. Bohužel jsme dneska byli kratší, ale už zítra to můžeme napravit.
