Sormani criticou a postura de Neymar fora das quatro linhas e descreveu como o craque perdeu a chance de ter conquistado mais títulos e prêmios ao longo da carreira.
“O pacote Neymar inclui isso (festas), é uma pena. Ele adora jogar, mas futebol não é a prioridade dele. Tanto é que não é prioridade que ele não ganhou a Bola de Ouro. Vocês acham que ele não tem futebol para isso? Claro que tem. Nesse período ganhou Lewandowski, Modric, Rodri… Esses caras não são melhores do que Neymar. Ele não levou a sério”, iniciou dizendo.
“Neymar não levou a carreira dele tão a sério quanto deveria. Não ganhou uma Bola de Ouro, não ganhou uma Copa do Mundo. Neymar poderia ter uma Copa, o Brasil foi eliminado pela Croácia. Dava para ter vencido se o Neymar fosse o que a gente esperava. Ele não leva a sério a carreira e joga fora o talento que Deus deu para ele”, argumentou o comunicador, em seu canal no YouTube.
Sormani lamenta “desperdício” de talento
Como citou o comentarista, alguns jogadores venceram o prêmio após o fim do domínio absoluto de Lionel Messi e Cristiano Ronaldo. O argentino e o português faturaram a Bola de Ouro por 10 anos seguidos, entre 2008 e 2017, além das conquistas do camisa 10 em 2019 e 2023.
Neste recorte de tempo, Neymar ficou duas vezes em terceiro (2015 e 2017), porém não conseguiu chegar ao topo. Modric venceu em 2018, Benzema em 2022 e Rodri em 2024. Robert Lewandowski, centroavante mencionado por Sormani, ganhou o “The Best” da Fifa, assim como Vinícius Júnior.
“Claro, tem vários títulos na carreira, um dos maiores jogadores desse século, tem uma popularidade incrível… Mas não conseguiu os dois objetivos que queria”, lamentou o jornalista.
De volta ao Santos após 12 anos atuando fora, o camisa 10 ainda não conseguiu se livrar dos problemas físicos. Ele não joga desde o dia 2 de março, em confronto de quartas de final do Campeonato Paulista contra o Red Bull Bragantino.
A expectativa é pelo retorno contra o Bahia de Rogério Ceni, no domingo (6). No entanto, não é possível confirmar sua presença e tudo depende dos próximos dias de preparação.
