Dass Mario Basler kein Blatt vor den Mund nimmt, ist bekannt. An einem bestimmten Spieler aus der Bundesliga hatte der Ex-DFB-Star aber offenbar derart einen Narren gefressen, dass er diesen in seinem Podcast „Basler Ballert“ komplett demontierte!

Nicht nur das ständige Lamentieren stößt Ex-Bayern-Profi Basler übel auf – auch die Entwicklung, die der Spielmacher Simons genommen hat, hinterfragt der Experte. RB hatte den Niederländer Anfang des Jahres für 50 Mio. Euro fest von PSG verpflichtet, machte ihn damit zum teuersten Zugang der Klub-Historie.
In 2025 steht Simons bei acht Scorerpunkten in zwölf Spielen – ein hervorragender Wert. Dennoch würde er dem Spiel der Leipziger nicht mehr so den Stempel aufdrücken wie zu Beginn seines Engagements. „Das ist ein gutes Beispiel, dass, nachdem man ihn gekauft hat, die Performance nicht mehr so ist.“

American consortium GSG LOFC Limited, led by New York businessman David Gandler, has completed a takeover of English League One club Leyton Orient.The group has acquired 100 per cent of the east London club from its previous owner Eagle Investments 2017 Limited.
