Travis Kelce has become accustomed to being an uncle by now, with Jason and Kylie Kelce having already had three children in recent years.
They have now welcomed a fourth into the world, with Finnley ‘Finn’ Anne Kelce being born on Sunday. The news was announced by Kylie on Instagram on Tuesday evening.
Kylie has a podcast called ‘Not Gonna Lie’ and her pregnancy journey was mostly documented on there.
“I could technically go into labor any second now. I wish. God, get out,” she said on the March 27 episode. “If I suddenly get up during this segment, there’s a reasonable chance my water broke. But finger’s crossed she’s chill for the next few minutes.”
Kylie also detailed her birth plan.” I just want a fat needle in my back,” she said. “That’s it. It’s such a short list because you cannot make a plan and assume that little muffin is gonna stick to it. And I’m just not prepared for disappointment on a day that a human is exiting my body.
“I do what is advised by the medical staff in the hospital, because I truly believe that labor and delivery nurses are angels that have descended from heaven and landed on Earth.”
Travis reacts to Finnley’s birth
Once the photos of baby Finnley had been shared with the world, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis reacted among the comments.
The 35-year-old wrote ‘Finnley!!!’ with three heart-eye emojis. His other nieces and nephews, Wyatt, Ellie and Bennett all wore ‘Go Uncle Travy’ shirts for the Super Bowl despite it being against Jason’s old team, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Kelce had a touching virtual introduction to his newest family member during the latest episode of the New Heights podcast with his brother Jason.
“We just had a baby,” Jason, 37, revealed at the start of Wednesday’s show, prompting Travis to respond with enthusiasm. “Do you want to see your new niece?” Jason asked. Travis, 35, eagerly replied, saying he had only seen one photo and didn’t yet know her name.
“Hey, little muffin,” Travis said sweetly, melting fans with his reaction. “Look at you. Just hanging out with mom?”
A new Kelce in the house
Kylie, 33, joined in to explain the baby’s name situation. When Travis asked if she was “still a nameless baby,” Kylie laughed and replied, “We had to fill out birth certificate paperwork. You could technically leave without it, but we wouldn’t remember to fill out the f-king paperwork.”
Though Kylie originally wanted to name her daughter “Finn,” Jason had other ideas. “He deadass … refused to let me name her Finn,” Kylie admitted. Despite that, the couple ultimately landed on a name that paid homage to the nickname – Finnley Anne Kelce, affectionately called “Finn.”
Travis couldn’t hide his admiration, calling Kylie “impressive” and gushing to the baby, “You just look adorable. I don’t even have anything to say to you. You happy to be out?”
Jason joked about the birthing process, asking his wife, “How was Kylie’s uterus?” to which Kylie replied, “[It was] too comfy. We had to evict her.”
