A idade dos jogadores é sempre levada em consideração na hora de avaliar o fôlego das equipes para brigar até o fim do Campeonato Brasileiro. Geralmente, os clubes que mesclam experiência e juventude costumam fazer as melhores campanhas no torneio nacional. O Censo do Brasileirão do GLOBO aponta que, na edição de 2025, a média de idade dos elencos é de 25,8 anos. O Mirassol tem a equipe mais experiente, com média de 27,9 anos, enquanto o Bragantino, que aposta em jovens talentos, apresenta a menor média, com 23,7 anos.
Três equipes contam com jogadores com 40 anos ou mais. Dois deles atuam no Fluminense: o goleiro Fábio, com 44, e o zagueiro Thiago Silva, com 40. Nenê, do Juventude, tem 43, e Fernando Miguel, do Ceará, 40, completando a lista dos mais experientes. O goleiro Alex Muralha, do Mirassol, tem 39 e está próximo de entrar nesse grupo. Ele faz aniversário em novembro e terminará a competição entre os quarentões.
Na outra ponta, quatro jogadores têm apenas 16 anos. Kauã Prates, do Cruzeiro, nascido em agosto de 2008, é o mais jovem, sendo dois meses mais novo que Daniel Sales, do Flamengo, nascido em junho do mesmo ano. Guilherme Gama, do Corinthians, e Gabriel Mec, do Grêmio, também têm 16 anos. Completa a lista Zé Lucas, volante do Sport, que nasceu em fevereiro de 2008 e já tem 17 anos.
No Rio, Botafogo tem o elenco mais jovem
Os times do Rio de Janeiro têm uma média de idade de 26,2 anos. Entre os quatro grandes do estado, o Botafogo tem o elenco mais jovem, com média de 24,7 anos — 1,5% menor que a dos clubes cariocas somados. O jogador mais velho do alvinegro é o lateral-esquerdo Marçal, de 36 anos. Já o Vasco apresenta a média mais alta, com 26,7 anos. O atleta mais velho do cruz-maltino é o francês Dimitri Payet, que tem 38 anos.
Em São Paulo, a média de idade dos quatro grandes é de 24,9 anos, 1,3% menor que a do Rio e 0,9% abaixo da média nacional.

O levantamento considera os 726 atletas inscritos no Brasileirão, conforme a lista disponibilizada pela CBF. Para a complementação dos dados, foram utilizadas plataformas de estatísticas de futebol. Na matéria anterior, o total de jogadores considerados era de 706, com base na lista mais atualizada da CBF até a conclusão do texto, mas novos nomes foram adicionados desde o sábado (29).
