Coco Gauff, ranked as the highest-paid female athlete in the world by Forbes, is switching talent agencies.
In a social media post Wednesday evening, Gauff announced the launch of her venture, Coco Gauff Enterprises, with WME, the talent representation entity that controls IMG and represents some of the biggest stars in sports.

Gauff, 21, had worked with Team8, the boutique agency that Roger Federer launched with his longtime agent, Tony Godsick, for the entirety of her career. Gauff’s representative at Team8 did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
She described the new venture as an endeavor that would reflect “my passion for making an impact — not just in tennis but in business, philanthropy and beyond.”
Gauff’s main sponsors include New Balance, Rolex and Head, and she recently launched a new, cheaper version of her signature tennis shoe. She described WME as “a team with the vision and resources to help me explore all the opportunities ahead.”
WME represents Carlos Alcaraz, Iga Świątek, Emma Raducanu, Taylor Fritz and Gauff’s close friends Frances Tiafoe and Chris Eubanks, as well as tennis legends such as Serena Williams. The company has previously lost star clients Naomi Osaka, Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, who left to form their own ventures. Partnering with Gauff, one of the biggest stars of her sport, on a joint venture is a major coup for WME.
Gauff has long been one of the most marketable tennis stars since her run to the fourth round of Wimbledon in 2019 at age 15. Her profile skyrocketed after she won the 2023 U.S. Open at just 19.
She has been ranked as high as No. 2 in the world but has struggled with her game during the first months of 2025 following a stellar fall. Gauff has battled inconsistency and tried to make technical changes to her serve and forehand.
Her recent earlier-than-expected exits from tournaments have had little impact on her popularity. She recently attended the Oscars in Los Angeles before heading to Palm Desert and the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, showcasing her stardom in sports and popular culture.
“This is just the beginning of an exciting new era for me,” Gauff wrote. “As always, tennis will continue to be my main priority.”
