Na opinião do jornalista Felippe Facincani, os times brasileiros estão atrás do Racing (ARG), atual campeão da Sul-Americana e que goleou o Fortaleza na estreia da Libertadores, fora de casa, por 3 a 0.
No programa “Opinião Placar”, o comentarista destacou a vitória diante do Leão e o bom retrospecto recente contra brasileiros. Então, para ele, o clube argentino é quem está jogando melhor no continente atualmente.
“O Racing está há sete jogos sem perder de clubes brasileiros, em sequência. É o melhor time que tem jogado, hoje, na América do Sul. É um time seguro, que não tem estrelas, mas tem ótimas peças. O técnico é ídolo do Racing, adorado pela torcida”, destacou Facincani.

Depois, também no Opinião Placar, o comentarista Fábio Sormani disse concordar com Facincani em relação ao Racing praticar o melhor futebol atualmente.
Na opinião do jornalista, o Racing é o time a ser batido pelos brasileiros. Sormani destaca que o clube argentino está à frente de outros estrangeiros, como o River Plate.

Destacado por Facincani, o Racing não perde para clubes brasileiros há sete partidas, sendo seis vitórias e um empate. Os duelos foram contra Corinthians, Athletico-PR e Cruzeiro pela Sul-Americana do ano passado, contra o Botafogo pela Recopa e este último, contra o Fortaleza.
Na campanha do título da Copa Sul-Americana de 2024, o clube argentino eliminou o Athletico, Corinthians e superou o Cruzeiro na final.
No grupo E da Libertadores, o Racing tem, além do Fortaleza, o Colo-Colo (CHI) e Bucaramanga (COL). A tendência é que o clube argentino se classifique em primeiro, principalmente após ter vencido o Leão fora de casa.
Fortaleza e Racing voltam a se enfrentar no dia 29 de maio, na Argentina, pela última rodada da fase de grupos.
