O final feliz na volta de Renato Gaúcho ao Fluminense ainda tem um capítulo para se confirmar. O presidente Mário Bittencourt, se reuniu com o técnico na noite desta quarta-feira, para convidá-lo a assumir a equipe. Nesta quinta-feira, o clube terá nova reunião e apresentará proposta oficial. Internamente, já se dá o acordo como praticamente selado.
Depois de ter o sinal verde do treinador na conversa informal, a direção do clube espera que tenha tudo acertado em termos de contrato para que Renato comande o time contra o Bragantino, domingo. A negociação ainda não está fechada, segundo fontes ligadas ao treinador. Mas bem encaminhado.
Passado o encontro presencial, Renato agora vai apresentar formalmente seus valores através de seus representantes, que aguardam a oferta do Fluminense. Já se sabe, porém, que ele levaria com ele os auxiliares Alexandre Mendes e Marcelo Salles. A pedida do treinador é na casa de R$ 1,5 milhão por mês até dezembro, e o time carioca, segundo apurou o blog, deve fechar a contratação.
Sem concorrentes
Após a recusa do argentino Gabriel Milito, o presidente Mário Bittencourt passou a negociar com Renato, que já havia dado sinal positivo para assumir o clube, para substituir Mano Menezes, demitido após a derrota para o Fortaleza, na primeira rodada do Brasileirão. Não houve procura por outros treinadores, nem brasileiros nem estrangeiros.
O interino Marcão vem comandando as atividades do Fluminense desde a demissão de Mano e, inclusive, esteve na beira do campo na vitória sobre o Once Caldas, pelas Sul-Americana. Renato Gaúcho completa 30 anos do “gol de barriga” no título Estadual pelo clube, contra o Flamengo, em junho de 2025. Caso se confirme a contratação, essa será a sétima vez do treinador no comando do Fluminense, por onde conquistou o título da Copa do Brasil de 2007 e também foi vice-campeão da Libertadores em 2008.
