La escudería ‘Red Bull Racing‘ continúa siendo la protagonista en las horas previas al comienzo del Gran Premio de Japón de la F1. Yuki Tsunoda se presentará ante su afición como nuevo piloto de la escudería con sede en ‘Milton Keynes‘, tras el descenso de Liam Lawson a ‘Racing Bulls‘, su escuadra hermana, en las dos primeras fechas del Mundial de la categoría reina del deporte motor.
Ahora, Christian Horner, director deportivo del equipo de las bebidas energéticas, ha admitido en una entrevista con ‘Sky Sports‘, durante un encuentro con ambos equipos ayer en Tokio, que a veces la escudería ha “ascendido a pilotos demasiado pronto”.
Una nueva pareja de pilotos en Red Bull
Yuki será el sexto acompañante de Verstappen desde su llegada al equipo en el 2016. Por esta razón, el directivo de Red Bull reconoció que “en años anteriores quizás hemos ascendido a pilotos demasiado pronto. Si pienso en la época de Alex Albon… Pierre Gasly se precipitó y Daniel Ricciardo también se pasó a Renault en aquella época”.
“Particularmente en Red Bull Racing, quizás hemos movido a estos juniors demasiado pronto. Pero por eso tenemos un programa de jóvenes pilotos y una cantera de talentos que queremos desarrollar e invertir. Ha dado muchos pilotos: creo que siete de los pilotos de la parrilla actual han pasado por el programa de Red Bull en algún momento”, aseguró Horner a ‘Sky Sports’.

El piloto neozelandés también declaró ante el medio británico, en el que se mostró sorprendido por su ‘descenso de categoría’. “Quizá es algo que no esperaba tan pronto, pero algo que obviamente no es mi decisión”, dijo.
