V úterý na vás šlo jen devět střel, tentokrát 29. Bylo důležité ten úterní zápas hodit za hlavu?
Myslím si, že devět z deseti brankářů vám potvrdí, že když na něj jde minimum střel, tak se chytá hůře, než když jste v permanenci. A já dnes v permanenci byl. Musím říct, že to bylo jako den a noc. Člověk nebyl z úterka úplně nadšený. Byl jsem nesvůj, protože jsem takový zápas nikdy neměl. Snažil jsem se na to nemyslet a vyspat se z toho. Bohužel, stalo se, ale je to za námi a byl nový den. Bylo důležité srovnat sérii, což se nám povedlo
Jako moc vás nakopl hned v úvodu zákrok proti nájezdu Jakuba Fleka?
Byl to asi moment, který rozhodl o tom, jestli to půjde naší stranou, nebo jejich. Naštěstí to bylo na mojí straně, za což jsem rád. Včera jsme měli do obrany takové trošku otevřené dveře, dneska už to bylo lepší. Tedy až na tu první šanci.
Další klíčový zákrok přišel v 51. minutě, kdy jste vyrazil střelu Lukáše Cingeľa.
Musím říct, že to byla taková náhoda. Byl jsem tam trošku pozdě a bylo štěstí, že mě trefil do betonu a nezvedl to.

Co očekáváte od víkendových duelů v Brně?
Tam je vždycky super atmosféra. Nebude tam pomalu jediný náš fanoušek, ale někteří určitě přijedou. Vždycky je to tam těžké, ale popravdě mám rád, když se fandí proti nám. Musíme hlavně hrát náš hokej, nesmíme se jim přizpůsobovat. Musíme odvést minimálně stejný výkon jako dnes a bude to dobré.
Překvapuje vás, že zápasy s Brnem jsou klidnější než s Třincem?
Rivalita s Třincem je dlouhodobější a větší. Odehráli jsme za tři roky spoustu zápasů. I tím, jak byly série nepříznivé, je tam trošku frustrace. S Kometou jsou to zatím poklidné zápasy, uvidíme v Brně.
