Nejprve v první čtvrtině proměnil trojku, ve druhé zužitkoval nájezd a ve třetí dal dvě důležité trojky, když Atlanta dotahovala vedení soupeře. Minul jedinou střelu až na začátku poslední části, kdy si Dallas vybudoval vedení o 12 bodů.

Atlanta se však rychle vrátila do hry zejména zásluhou Tysona Danielse a Onyeky Okongwua a ještě 42 vteřin před koncem vedla o tři body. Pak ale trojkou srovnal Klay Thompson, následně si vzal míč Davis a po nájezdu ke koši rozhodl zápas těžkou střelou v pohybu. Atlanta nedala tři poslední střely v podání Trae Younga, který minul i v poslední vteřině potenciální vítěznou trojku přes bránícího Davise. Ten přitom v první čtvrtině utrpěl tržnou ránu nad okem po srážce se spoluhráčem a dlouho byl ošetřován, než se před poločasem vrátil na palubovku.
Oklahoma City zvítězila 119:103 nad Detroitem a 64. výhrou v sezoně vyrovnala rekord klubu z roku 1996, kdy ještě sídlil v Seattlu. Jedenáctou výhrou v řadě pak Thunder nadále živí naději na to, že jako teprve třetí tým v historii NBA dosáhnou na hranici 70 výher. K tomu ale potřebují vyhrát zbylých šest zápasů. Nejlepší střelec soutěže Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dnes k výhře přispěl 33 body, čímž dosáhl na svůj sezonní průměr.
Oklahoma City má také na dosah celkové vítězství v základní části, na druhý nejlepší tým Cleveland drží náskok tří výher. Cavaliers dnes zvítězili 124:105 nad New Yorkem, přestože v první půli prohrávali už o 15 bodů. Druhý poločas ale vyhráli o 26 bodů. Cleveland 61. výhrou v sezoně vyrovnal klubový rekord z roku 2010. Donovan Mitchell dnes přispěl 27 body.
Jubilejní padesátou výhru v sezoně získal Houston, když přehrál Utah 143:105. Alperen Sengün k tomu přispěl 15 body, 14 doskoky a 9 asistencemi, Jalen Green přidal 22 bodů. Utah sedmou porážkou za sebou klesl na pozici nejhoršího týmu soutěže za Washington, který vyhrál 116:111 nad Sacramentem.
