Das Verstummen dieser (ge)wichtigen Stimme in der kommenden Saison ist ein Risiko, das die Klub-Führung zu unterschätzen scheint.
Beim FC Bayern rühmt man sich dafür, dass man so manches aus dem knallharten globalen Fußballgeschäft anders macht. „Mia san Mia“, das Vereins-Motto, steht dafür.
Wie der Müller-Abschied jetzt versemmelt wird, ist das Gegenteil von „Mia san Mia“.
Ausgerechnet Bayerns internationaler Konkurrent Real Madrid hat in den vergangenen Jahren gezeigt, wie man mit Vereinslegenden im Herbst ihrer Karriere umgeht. Luka Modric wird im September 40 Jahre alt. Der mächtige Präsident der Königlichen, Florentino Perez, hat in den vergangenen Jahren bereits mehrfach betont, dass Modric selbst über das Ende seiner Zeit bei Real bestimmt, man immer gesprächsbereit sei.

Natürlich ist Müllers Rolle auf dem Platz nicht mehr so entscheidend wie noch vor zwei, drei Jahren. Unter Trainer Vincent Kompany spielt der 35-Jährige in dieser Saison keine Hauptrolle mehr.
Aber die Frage muss erlaubt sein: Gerade wenn man plant, Müller künftig in die Klubführung einzubinden (alles andere wäre fahrlässig) – wie kann man dann das Ende seiner aktiven Karriere im Trikot der Roten derart in den Sand setzen?
