Was denkt Sky-Experte Didi Hamann (51) über das Ende der Münchner Legende?
Beim Pay-TV-Sender sagt er: „Bei den Aussagen im Januar ist man davon ausgegangen, dass er weitermachen kann. Er ist wohl davon ausgegangen, je länger ich nichts von den Bayern höre, desto besser. Weil die können und werden mir im April doch nicht sagen, dass ich gehen soll.“

Anfang Januar hatte Sportvorstand Max Eberl nämlich noch erklärt: „Er braucht ja nicht großartig verhandeln. Wenn er sagt, er hat Lust weiterzumachen, dann werden wir uns tief in die Augen schauen, schauen uns den Kader an und dann wird es weitergehen.“
Doch nun kam alles anders – Müller erhält keinen neuen Vertrag. Nur für die anstehende Klub-WM (ab 14. Juni) wird das Arbeitspapier verlängert.
Hamann analysiert: „Da sind die Bayern etwas zu schnell in die Kurve gefahren. Dann hat der Vorstandsvorsitzende das Steuer übernommen und die Gespräche geführt. Die waren wohl sehr harmonisch. Dadurch hat man es noch einigermaßen in den Griff bekommen.“
Der Experte sagt außerdem: „Es ist natürlich schade, dass es keinen neuen Vertrag gibt und die Zeit zu Ende geht. Es war, glaube ich, ein Vierteljahrhundert. (…) Ich glaube, dass er (Müller, d.Red.) heute irgendwo erleichtert ist, weil er die Gewissheit hat. Das ist immer das Schwierigste. Man hätte es anders kommunizieren können … müssen.“

Interesse an Müller gibt es aus der US-Liga MLS. Nach BILD-Informationen sind die Klubs Cincinnati, San Diego und Dallas an der Bayern-Legende dran. Der deutsche Rekordmeister hat zudem mit Los Angeles FC einen Partnerverein in den USA. Hamann bringt zudem Inter Miami wegen der Verbindung zu Müller-Sponsor Adidas ins Spiel.
