Además, Kylian falló dos penaltis en un momento en el que crecían las dudas sobre su figura.
Los fallos del ‘9’ en Anfield y San Mamés —dos partidos que el Madrid perdió después de que su delantero centro errara desde los once metros el penalti que habría supuesto el 1-1— parecían dejar claro que Vinicius era el lanzador más fiable. De los 15 penaltis que ha tenido el Madrid esta temporada, ya son cinco los fallados. A los cuatro errados entre Mbappé y Vinicius se suma el que falló Bellingham, precisamente en Mestalla. Un fallo de cada tres es un dato demasiado llamativo. La temporada pasada, el equipo marcó seis de diez. Vinicius los convirtió todos (cuatro), pero ni Joselu (dos), ni Modric, ni Rodrygo acertaron. Eso sí, en ese recorrido, el equipo de Ancelotti disputó dos tandas de penaltis —ante el Manchester City y el Atlético de Madrid— y ganó ambas.
