Las cámaras de DAZN captaron el momento donde Pep se acerca al belga para darle ánimos ante un cabizbajo y serio Doku, que era consciente de que no había tenido su mejor partido. Guardiola ‘cogió’ al jugador del hombro y le dio detalles de ciertas acciones del partido en un tono distendido y cariñoso.
Doku estaba con un rostro serio y la mirada perdida. En el momento que se acercan a agradecer a la afición ‘cityzen’, Guardiola da un beso a su jugador como un gesto de ánimo y le da varias palmadas en el brazo.
Kimmich fue el primero en recibir una ‘lección’
Una imagen que ha llamado la atención en redes sociales. No es la primera vez que Guardiola mantiene este tipo de charlas al finalizar un partido. En su etapa como entrenador del Bayern, Pep fue a consolar a un Kimmich en un partido ante el Borussia Dortmund. Guardiola dio indicaciones a un joven Kimmich de los errores que había cometido.
Más tarde se conoció el contenido de la conversación. Kimmich expresó que el entrenador le había pedido un cambio táctico que el centrocampista no cumplió. Guardiola le alentó: “Has jugado muy bien Josh. Te dije que podías hacerlo“. Joshua acabó agradeciendo a Pep esa charla que le sirvió para madurar y desarrollar su potencial futbolístico.
