Sufrió, como todos sus compañeros, en algunos lances del primer tiempo. Empezó la segunda parte quitando una ocasión clara al Sevilla con una buena acción.

Arrancó el partido sumándose al ataque más de lo que es habitual. Se las tuvo tiesas con Lukebakio, un peligro permanente. En la segunda parte cambió al lateral derecho. Reemplazado en el minuto 55.

No tuvo la participación habitual en el juego en el primer acto. Lo intentó, como siempre, cada vez que le caía el esférico. La primera gran ocasión rojiblanca tras el descanso fue una acción de Giuliano. Vio tarjeta amarilla por una entrada fuerte.

Marcos Llorente
Arrancó en el doble pivote intentando ayudar a Barrios en la creación. Como siempre, muchas piernas e intensidad, pero cierta carencia con el esférico en los pies, aunque sus pulmones compensan en parte la ausencia de calidad.

La ausencia de De Paul le obligaba a tomar el mando de la sala de máquinas, aunque no es fácil cuando el rival lleva la iniciativa. Cometió errores en el pase que no son propios de él. Eso sí, lo arregló todo con un 1-2 decisivo y maravilloso… Un Barrios decepcionante en el mejor momento.

Forzó el penalti que realizó Badé en una gran jugada individual de fe y entrega. En la última jugada de la primera parte le faltó calidad para poner un buen centro.

No cerró bien en la jugada del 1-0… y eso que empezó el partido participando más que últimamente. Apenas apareció, lo que ya ha dejado de ser noticia. Fue reemplazado en el minuto 55.

Marcó el gol de penalti para igualar el partido en el minuto 24. Siempre que toca el balón el equipo mejora.

No era un partido fácil para Simeone, que necesitaba subir la moral del equipo tras los últimos resultados. Tiró de Azpi de 3 y de Llorente y Gallagher para tapar las bajas de De Paul y Lino.
