Após o empate no dérbi de Manchester sem gols, o espanhol, que escalou o português na lateral-direita pelas ausências no plantel, usou duras palavras sobre a atuação de Nunes, de acordo com o jornal português A Bola.
“Pode tornar-se um bom lateral-direito pelo seu físico. Penso que não é um jogador para jogar no meio, porque não é suficientemente inteligente, não tem compostura”, começou dizendo.
“Tem uma habilidade incrível e está a aprender muito… os laterais cometem sempre um grande erro, quando cruzam para o poste mais distante, onde tu estás, estão sempre a dormir. E defendeu muito bem dois ou três cruzamentos do Bruno Fernandes, do Dorgu. Tem físico para o fazer, sabe jogar nessa posição e tem ajudado muito”, compensou o treinador do City.
Quanto ao empate, Guardiola considerou o resultado justo.
“Jogo equilibrado. Eles tiveram oportunidades, nós também tivemos oportunidades. O único problema é que nos mexemos demasiado com a bola. Tínhamos de estar na posição certa e não o fizemos”.
