El argentino Tamir Berman, jugador del Latina Calcio 1932, equipo de la Serie C, tercera categoría del fútbol italiano, fue agredido el sábado por la tarde por varios encapuchados que le obligaron a parar su coche después de la derrota sufrida ante el Trapani (0-2).
Berman, de 24 años, salió del Estadio Domenico Francioni con su coche particular cuando, a unos cientos de metros, tuvo que parar el automóvil obligado por otro vehículo que le siguió. Se bajaron varios encapuchados que le rompieron la luna trasera y le propinaron varios puñetazos.
El defensa central tuvo que volver al estadio para ser atendido, aunque no sufre heridas ni consecuencias graves.
“En nombre de la administración municipal y de toda la ciudad, expreso toda mi solidaridad con el jugador del Latina Calcio 1932, Tamir Berman, víctima de una agresión grave e inaceptable. Condenamos con absoluta firmeza toda forma de violencia, dentro y fuera de las instalaciones deportivas, que nada tiene que ver con los valores del deporte y la convivencia civil”, dijo este domingo la alcaldesa de Latina (provincia del Lacio), Matilde Celentano.

Por su parte, el club también mostró su apoyo al jugador: “El Latina Calcio 1932 expresa su plena solidaridad con su jugador Tamir Berman, víctima ayer de una vil agresión”.
“Estamos al lado de Tamir, seguros de que sabrá superar este episodio con la fuerza y determinación que le distinguen, en el campo y en la vida. El club está al lado de su jugador, protegiendo su persona y sus derechos”, añadió el Latina.

Berman se ha ganado en los últimas semanas un puesto en el once, con cinco titularidades seguidas y cuatro partidos consecutivos completos.
El equipo, sin embargo, acumula tres jornadas sin ganar y está al borde de la fase de descenso.
