Abel Ferreira vê margem para o Sport surpreender no Brasileirão. Após o Palmeiras alcançar o triunfo diante do Leão somente nos minutos finais, o português espera uma sequência do atual trabalho de Pepa. Caso o respaldo necessário seja concedido, houve uma sinalização de que os rivais vão seguir sofrendo para somar pontos na Ilha do Retiro.
“O futebol brasileiro não é para amadores. É difícil. Muito jogo, pouco treino e muita viagem. Jogamos com uma equipe super empolgada, muito bem treinada e que vinha de um sucesso há três quatro ou dias.”, disse Abel Ferreira, em coletiva de imprensa.
“Vamos ver contra equipes vão conseguir passar aqui porque eu sei que essa equipe, em casa, vai dar muito trabalho se a direção e os torcedores derem tempo. Com todo o respeito, o Sport luta por outros objetivos (diferentes) do Palmeiras.”, acrescentou.
Esforço do Palmeiras
Lutando até o final, o Palmeiras conseguiu somar três pontos fora de casa. Sem entrar no mérito da marcação do pênalti polêmico, Abel Ferreira quis enaltecer o espírito do time alviverde, situação que já virou recorrente.
“Não foi a primeira, nem a segunda, nem a terceira, nem a quarta, nem a quinta, nem a sexta, nem a sétima, nem a oitava, nem a nona, nem a décima vez que essa equipe fez gol no fim. Isso é algo que essa equipe tem dentro, independente de quem jogar, o jogo só acaba quando termina. Os jogadores sabem disso.”, afirmou.
Abel Ferreira valoriza ambiente no estádio do Sport
Além da vitória, o clima na Ilha do Retiro também agradou Abel Ferreira. Como os times travaram um embate ferrenho ao longo dos 90 minutos, o técnico do Palmeiras estava ciente do cenário difícil na segunda rodada do Brasileirão.
“As torcidas se respeitaram, é bom para o futebol. As duas equipes jogaram um jogo duro, mas leal. Eu sabia que seria um difícil pela empolgação que o adversário tinha. Uma vitória arrancada com muito trabalho e muito suor.”, destacou.
