El estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán acogió ayer algo más que un partido de fútbol. La casa del Sevilla sería el escenario de una manifestación pública por parte de una afición enfadada y ansiosa de demostrar su hartazgo. Tanta tensión acumulada amenaza con romper la cuerda, que ahora depende de unas fibras demasiado débiles. La primera es la situación deportiva: tres derrotas consecutivas, cuatro meses sin ganar ante su gente y el riesgo de naufragio que muchos se temían. De ganar el Leganés esta noche frente a Osasuna, los hispalenses estarán casi tan cerca del descenso como de las posiciones europeas.
Las malas sensaciones que transmite este Sevilla van más allá de lo futbolístico dado que reincide en los mismos fallos. Ante el Atlético de Madrid arrancó de nuevo muy metido en el juego. El plan de atraer la presión colchonera con la idea de jugar en largo y buscar los espacios tenía sentido, lo que seguramente motivó la titularidad de Akor Adams en detrimento de Isaac Romero. Sin embargo, al equipo le falta físico para imponerse en los duelos y sigue pecando de inexperto. Una vez más, aunque compitió y ofreció una buena versión en la primera parte, sus propios errores lo condenaron. Tras el descanso, fue poco a poco viniéndose abajo y cediendo terreno hasta el aciago final.
García Pimienta, señalado
En el Sevilla vuelven a mirar con lupa al banquillo, el eslabón más débil de la cadena. Al igual que su plantilla, Xavier García Pimienta hace muchas cosas bien, pero su lectura durante el transcurso de los partidos condena los planteamientos iniciales. El catalán vive su momento más crítico desde que llegó al club. Entre los entrenadores con al menos 30 encuentros dirigidos, como informó Fran Martínez, se ha convertido en el que menor porcentaje de victorias ha logrado en la máxima categoría con 9 triunfos, 9 empates y 12 derrotas. Asimismo, este es el segundo peor Sevilla como local en siglo XXI (5 victorias, 4 empates y 6 derrotas), únicamente superado por el de la temporada anterior.
“Llevamos tres derrotas consecutivas, eso duele mucho y la única manera de cambiarlo es conseguir una victoria”, señalaba García Pimienta en rueda de prensa tras caer ante el Atlético de Madrid. El técnico dijo sentirse con mucha fuerza y sin la impresión de que se esté jugando el puesto. A falta de ocho fechas para el final del campeonato, la realidad es que el Sevilla atraviesa la racha de resultados más negativa en lo que va de curso. Además, los fantasmas del pasado año, cuando Las Palmas encadenó hasta catorce jornadas sin ganar en la segunda vuelta de LaLiga, sobrevuelan Nervión cargados de pánico.
Deriva institucional
Aun con todo, el área deportiva del Sevilla no parece preocupar tanto como la institución, con un panorama bochornoso e insostenible que ha pasado de caldo de cultivo a aceite hirviendo. En la previa del partido hubo una concentración multitudinaria en el mosaico de Preferencia del Sánchez-Pizjuán en contra del Consejo de Administración y los grandes accionistas. El ambiente en el estadio fue durísimo. Antes de que se alcanzara la hora de juego, el colegiado Soto Grado tuvo que detenerlo durante algunos minutos debido al lanzamientos de bolas y aviones de papel al césped, mientras continuaban las protestas contra el presidente, José María del Nido Carrasco, y el director deportivo, Víctor Orta.
Incluso después del encuentro, la situación que se vivió en las inmediaciones del estadio fue dantesca. Varios aficionados intentaron agredir a Ignacio Navarro, el famoso psicólogo y asistente de Del Nido Carrasco y reconocido por el Sevilla como director de Desarrollo y Estrategia. Esta mañana el propio club ha emitido un comunicado condenando los hechos. En este contexto, solo los resultados deportivos pueden darle cierta calma a la entidad. El viernes tocará visita a Mestalla, donde una cuarta derrota seguida podría provocar decisiones drásticas.
