Nach dem 0:0 im Derby zwischen Manchester United und Manchester City am Sonntagabend ärgerte sich Trainer Pep Guardiola (54) über die gegnerischen Fans. Der Spanier wütend: „Das ist ein Mangel an Integrität und Klasse. Sie sollten sich schämen.“

Minute: Guardiola hatte gerade Phil Foden (24) ausgewechselt, als die heimischen Anhänger anfingen, die Mutter des englischen Nationalspielers mit Sprechchören zu beschimpfen. Sie skandierten: „Phil Foden, your mom is a s***“ (Deutsch: Phil Foden, deine Mutter ist eine Sch***“).
Guardiola hatte dafür logischerweise überhaupt kein Verständnis: „Ich verstehe wirklich nicht, was die Leute denken, die Phils Mutter ins Spiel bringen und sie beleidigen.“
Der Spanier weiter: „Das ist nicht United, das sind nur ein paar Leute. Aber es ist, wie es ist. Ich würde sagen, es passiert überall, nicht nur in Großbritannien, überall.“

Durch das Unentschieden bleibt Manchester City in der Premier League mit jetzt 52 Punkten auf Platz 5, die Quali für die Champions League in der kommenden Saison ist damit weiter gefährdet.
Pep: „Ich habe in den letzten beiden Spielen viele gute Dinge gesehen, was die Leidenschaft ohne Ball angeht, die wir in dieser Saison aus vielen Gründen viele, viele Male verloren haben.“ Und über Foden: „Wir haben in dieser Saison unglaublich nachgelassen. Nicht nur Phil Foden, sondern alle.“
Auch beim Gegner läuft es nicht. Manchester United hat noch 14 Punkte weniger als der Pep-Klub (38). Aktuell stehen sie damit in der Tabelle auf Platz 13 – zuletzt beendete United in der Saison 89/90 die Saison so weit unten. Trainer Ruben Amorim (40): „Ich bin nicht naiv oder verrückt, ich sehe die Situation, in der wir uns befinden. Wir müssen uns dringend verbessern, denn wir haben nicht mehr viel Zeit in einem Verein wie diesem. Wir sind in Eile.“
