Após a marcação de Bruno Arleu de Araújo, o VAR entendeu como acerto e não sugeriu a revisão no monitor. Em campo, o Palmeiras venceu o Sport por 2 a 1, na Ilha do Retiro. Na entrevista coletiva, Abel Ferreira valorizou o resultado conquistado na casa do Leão.
“Vitória arrancada com suor e não com 11, mas com os 23. É bom, dá confiança, procuramos a melhor dinâmica, trocar jogadores. A equipe precisa de outros lugares nos lugares que tem em falta. O grupo está unido em um campeonato muito competitivo”, disse o treinador.

O ex-goleiro Marcos admitiu ter ficado envergonhado com a marcação do pênalti sobre Raphael Veiga, neste domingo. Para o ídolo alviverde, o VAR deveria ter acionado o árbitro para recomendar a anulação da penalidade.
“Estou em uma fase da minha vida que prefiro perder, empatar do que ganhar com um pênalti desse. É constrangedor, do fundo do meu coração. Podem ficar p… comigo. Não pode (marcar um pênalti desse)”, disse Marcos, no Instagram.

O Palmeiras volta a campo na próxima quarta-feira, contra o Cerro Porteño, às 21h30 (de Brasília), no Allianz Parque, pela segunda rodada da fase de grupos da Libertadores. Pelo Brasileirão, a equipe recebe o Corinthians, sábado, na Arena Barueri.
