Milton Neves enalteceu a apresentação do goleiro Rafael, do SPFC, no confronto diante do Atlético-MG, ocorrido neste domingo (06), pela 2ª rodada do Brasileirão, na Arena MRV. Protagonista, o atleta de 35 anos defendeu finalizações à queima roupa e garantiu o zero no marcador.
Em texto no UOL Esporte analisando o embate de Belo Horizonte, o comentarista enalteceu o titular da meta são-paulina, indicando que o placar teria sido outro, e favorável ao Galo.
Pelo contexto da partida, não é exagero algum dizer que este quase que sonolento empate em BH teve sabor de vitória para o Tricolor paulista. E créditos de sobra para o goleiro Rafael, o melhor em campo”, iniciou Milton Neves.

Contrato renovado
Dono da titularidade absoluta na equipe de Luís Zubeldía, Rafael teve vínculo renovado com o SPFC na última semana. Adaptado ao clube e “solução” de um problema antigo do clube pós Rogério Ceni, ele teve contrato esticado até o final de 2027.
Presente em 14 jogos do Tricolor na temporada, ele foi vazado em apenas nove oportunidades, tendo atingido o terceiro jogo seguido sem ser vazado (Atlético-MG, Talleres e Sport), com dois empates e uma vitória.

Tendo colocado o Galo de Cuca como um dos times mais confiáveis neste início de temporada, Milton Neves disse na coluna que o alvinegro ainda não acordou para a disputa do Brasileirão, onde é cotado como um dos favoritos ao título.
Na avaliação dele, se o Atlético-MG continuar pecando nas finalizações no certame nacional, perderá o posto de postulante a figurar no pleito pelas primeiras posições.
