„Ivan přišel do Southamptonu v těžké chvíli a měl za úkol pokusit se zvednout a zachránit tým v obtížné situaci. Bohužel jsme nezaznamenali pokrok ve výkonech tak, jak jsme doufali,“ uvedl klub v prohlášení.
Southampton si připsal již 25. porážku v ligové sezoně. „Je to těžký den, ale vidím fanoušky, kteří mají rádi hráče i tým. Je to neuvěřitelné. Tahle zkušenost musí posloužit k vybudování něčeho silnějšího,“ uvedl Jurič po utkání.
V listopadu byl kvůli špatným výsledkům propuštěn z AS Řím po pouhých 12 zápasech. Předtím bývalý chorvatský reprezentant působil také v FC Turín, Hellasu Verona a FC Janov.
