After reportedly calling off their wedding, Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Davino were spotted together on Sunday, April 6, enjoying a relaxed outing.
The couple, who had been engaged since 2022, were seen at Beverly Glen Deli in Los Angeles.
According to a PEOPLE, they spent about an hour together before leaving the deli and walking Sweeney‘s dog, Tank.
Both wore sunglasses for the casual outing, with Sweeney opting for a blue hoodie and baggy jeans, while Davino chose an all-black athleisure look.
Despite their recent separation, Sweeney, 27, has been focusing on her career, keeping herself busy with numerous projects.
“She’s exactly where she wants to be. Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and very excited about all her projects,” an insider told PEOPLE Magazine.
Sweeney has a packed schedule, with a new season of Euphoria on the horizon and a starring role in the upcoming film adaptation of the bestseller The Housemaid.
She’s also set to portray boxer Christy Martin and actress Kim Novak in other high-profile projects.
However, the source added that while Sweeney‘s career is going well, the pressures of her relationship and wedding plans led her to feel overwhelmed.
“What did make her overwhelmed though was her relationship and her wedding. She didn’t feel right about it,” the source shared.
Sweeney, who had been engaged to Davino, 41, for over a year, reportedly ended things because she wasn’t ready to settle down.
“She just wants to focus on her career right now”
Although the couple still cares for each other, the relationship was strained, and Sweeney found it hard to break off the engagement.
The two first got together in 2018 and became engaged in 2022. However, rumors of a breakup surfaced when Sweeney deleted a photo of the couple kissing from her Instagram in January.
By February, it was reported that the couple had postponed their May wedding. Then, in March, insiders revealed that the relationship had been rocky for a while.
In the aftermath of the breakup, Sweeney has been focusing on herself, sharing solo photos on social media, including a bikini shot and a picture from a recent girls’ trip.
“Only up from here,” she captioned a photo of herself on a hot-air balloon ride. Sweeney also recently reunited with her Anyone But You costar Glen Powell at his sister’s wedding in Texas.
While rumors about a romance between Sweeney and Powell began circulating due to their on-screen chemistry, Powell’s mother quickly shot them down. In an interview, she called the speculation “silly” and clarified that there’s nothing going on between the two.
