A Fifa confirmou que o Mundial de Clubes terá um novo formato em 2025, e que será disputado desta forma a cada quatro anos, ou seja, o formato que conhecíamos anual e disputado no final do ano acabou. Serão 32 times divididos em oito grupos de quatro times cada. Os mais bem colocados de cada grupo avançam para as quartas de final. A partir daí, acontecerão confrontos eliminatórios até a definição do campeão.
