Alexandre Pato foi o entrevistado do jornalista Duda Garbi no programa Um Assado para… Na atração, o jogador de 35 anos e atualmente comentarista do SBT fez questão de destacar um zagueiro que enfrentou e com quem atuou junto.
O campeão mundial pelo Internacional em 2006 e também com passagens por Corinthians e São Paulo exaltou Thiago Silva.
“Um cara que eu enfrentei que foi muito difícil: Thiago Silva”, disse Alexandre Pato, sobre o defensor atualmente no Fluminense para a disputa do Brasileirão Série A e das demais competições.

O atacante, que foi seu companheiro no Milan, listou as características do defensor do Tricolor das Laranjeiras.
“Ele começou naquela época que os zagueiros eram muito fortes, rápidos. Muito rápidos. Eu lembro que eu ia para cima dele. Era difícil de passar por ele. Joguei contra o Maldini, Nesta, os caras. Joguei contra o Terry… Joguei contra vários zagueiros, mas de enfrentamento assim… A gente treinava junto”, disse Pato, complementando que Thiago Silva é especialista na ocupação de muito espaço.
“Os zagueiros cravavam os dois pés. Se jogava a bola do lado, ia. Aí começou uma era que o zagueiro ficava um pouquinho mais de lado, colocava o braço. O Thiago ficava assim [encolhia os braços]. ‘Agora você coloca a bola na frente’ e ele pegava a bola… Ele é monstro, muita leitura, muito rápido”, avaliou Alexandre Pato, fazendo o gesto veloz de Thiago Silva ao interceptar a bola do atacante.
O comentarista do SBT, que admitiu ser torcedor do Grêmio na infância, se lembrou da parceria que teve com o atacante colorado Rafael Santos Borré no Villarreal, em 2016 e 2017.
“Fazíamos o ataque, eu e ele. Eu corria e ele matava. É um finalizador muito bom. Fiquei super feliz que ele está lá. Mandei mensagem para ele e tudo”, disse Alexandre Pato, que completou: “Eu torço pelo Inter. Espero que eles busquem os objetivos deles”.
