Pascal Hens und Jogi Bitter sind Kultfiguren des deutschen Handballs, wurden gemeinsam 2007 Weltmeister bei der Heim-WM. Ihr Abschiedsspiel am Donnerstag in Hamburg sollte ihr letzter Auftritt auf der großen Handball-Bühne werden, doch für einen der beiden ist der Traum geplatzt.

Achillessehnen-Riss: Pommes Hens verpasst sein Abschiedsspiel!
Der Ex-Handballer, der heute als Dyn-Experte und TV-Star arbeitet, verkündete die Hiobsbotschaft selbst bei Instagram: „Leider habe ich eine ganz schlechte Nachricht, sehr, sehr bitter. Ich wollte mich auch ein bisschen vorbereiten und obwohl viele gesagt haben: ‚Verletz dich nicht!‘ ist es natürlich so gekommen. Leider habe ich mir gestern bei meiner individuellen Vorbereitung die Achillessehne gerissen.“
Wie gewohnt nimmt der ehemalige Rückraum-Riese kein Blatt vor den Mund: „Das ist natürlich total scheiße. Ich war sehr niedergeschlagen, aber jetzt blicken wir einfach nach vorne. Das Spiel findet natürlich trotz alledem statt, wir haben genug Legenden am Start. Ich werde leider nicht spielen können, obwohl es das Abschiedsspiel auch von mir ist, aber ich bin natürlich da und werde dann halt als dritter Headcoach meines Teams fungieren.“

Unheimlich: Noch beim Interview-Termin mit SPORT BILD in der vergangenen Woche hatte Hens über eine mögliche Verletzung geunkt. „Seit es im Dezember feststand, habe ich den Trainingsstart verschoben, verschoben, verschoben. Mit dem Gedanken: Ich müsste ja mal irgendwann in die Halle und mich bewegen, aber jetzt sind es ja nur noch ein paar Tage – jetzt zu riskieren, sich noch zu verletzen, wäre ja auch blöd“, hatte der Ex-Nationalspieler da gesagt. „Jetzt war ich mal laufen und hab zweimal aufs leere Tor geworfen. Daraus wird jetzt leider nichts. Trotzdem wird das Abschiedsspiel am Donnerstag (19 Uhr/live bei Dyn/Anzeige) eine Ansammlung an Handball-Legenden. Mit Trainer Heiner Brand, Dominik Klein, Henning Fritz, Holger Glandorf, Christian Schwarzer, Mimi Kraus und Torsten Jansen sind zahlreiche Weltmeister-Kollegen dabei.
Außerdem kommen Handball-Superstars wie Stefan Kretzschmar, Uwe Gensheimer, Silvio Heinevetter, Domagoj Duvnjak, Stefan Schröder, Manuel Späth oder Hans Lindberg. Hier gibt es noch Tickets für das Event.
