Rob Gronkowski may have built his legacy on touchdowns and tequila shots, but the former All-Pro tight end is ready to leave one of those behind for good.
As rumors circulated recently about a potential return to the NFL, Gronkowski was quick to dismiss them, and along the way, admitted that the days of being the life of the party are officially in the past.

Gronk shuts down NFL comeback, admits party days are over
Known for his larger-than-life personality both on and off the field, Gronkowski became synonymous with wild celebrations and over-the-top Super Bowl events like Gronk Beach.
But at 35, the four-time Super Bowl champion says he’s a different man now.
While he can still enjoy a night out, he no longer sees himself as the “Yo Soy Fiesta” icon fans once adored.
“I’m not going to lie, Julian. My days are over from that party scene,” Gronkowski said during an appearance on the Dudes on Dudes podcast.
“I can still show up, have a good time, cheers, have a couple drinks, but the way I used to go and be Yo Soy Fiesta, it’s just unobtainable anymore. I’m 35 going on 36. I used to literally pound 15-20 drinks and be able to wake up and work out. I do that now-man, my whole body would be inflamed, and my back would be hurting.”
The now-retired NFL star reflected on the infamous postgame interview where he accidentally coined the phrase “Yo Soy Fiesta” a , Spanish misstep that turned into a fan-favorite moment.
“My English is already off, Julian. So you think my Spanish isn’t going to be off?” Gronkowski joked.
“Instead of me trying to say ‘I am going to party,’ I accidentally said ‘Yo soy fiesta.’ And it just turned out to be a hit.”
As for any talk of a return to the gridiron, Gronk was equally clear.
After a Denver reporter suggested he was training for a possible comeback with the Broncos, Gronkowski shut it down with his trademark humor.
“Crazy bro. They must know something about me that I don’t,” he told FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz.
“I wish I still had those powers… But I was just in Australia for a few days. Now it’s time to relax a little. No football.”
Currently serving as a studio analyst for FOX Sports, Gronkowski has traded postgame parties for pregame commentary, often alongside longtime friend and former quarterback Tom Brady.
And while the “party king” might have stepped down from his throne, NFL fans know there will never be another quite like Gronk.
