Na última terça-feira (8), o São Paulo teve a apresentação do balanço financeiro do ano de 2024, ao qual o clube registrou déficit e aumento substancial da dívida. A situação das contas do SPFC foi explicada por seu presidente nas redes sociais
Uma postagem no Instagram do presidente Júlio Casares apresentou as justificativas para o prejuízo apontado, que ficou na casa de R$ 287 milhões. Nas palavras do dirigente, uma série de necessidades do clube tiveram que ser preenchidas com gastos e investimentos que acabaram resultando em despesas maiores do que as receitas no último ano.
Explicação de Casares
“A manutenção de time competitivo, pagamento de juros bancários oriundos da dívida e de empréstimos contraídos pela necessidade de se manter o fluxo de caixa para pagamentos rotineiros e de curto prazo, além de pagamento de tributos e multas e mudanças de como a base passou a ser registrada”, disse Casares no post.
Além disto, o presidente são-paulino afirmou que a necessidade de fazer o time seguir competitivo diante de um cenário de aumento de investimentos no futebol via SAFs e casas de apostas tornou necessário o incremento de gastos com contratações, inclusive citando os títulos conquistados pela equipe durante seu atual mandato no SPFC

Entretanto, Casares deixou uma mensagem em tom positivo para o torcedor do São Paulo, afirmando que, até 2030, o clube poderá ter até R$ 2 bilhões em recebíveis ‘garantidos’, contando as diversas fontes de renda que o Tricolor terá à disposição neste período. Além disto, disse que, em 2027, quando encerrar o seu mandato, o clube será entregue a seus sucessores em ‘ótima situação’.
“O processo será longo e não será simples e nem fácil de atravessar Mas juntos, iremos passar por tudo e trabalhar para deixar o São Paulo Futebol Clube ainda mais forte”, disse o dirigente.
