Na última terça-feira (8), o Corinthians encarou o América de Cali pela 2ª rodada da Copa Sul-Americana, que terminou com empate de 1 a 1. O técnico Ramón Díaz optou por escalar um time misto, poupando diversos jogadores.
Yuri Alberto, que entrou na segunda etapa, quando o Timão perdia por 1 a 0, afirmou que o “objetivo era a vitória”, mas valorizou o ponto conquistado fora de casa.
“Fazia tempo que eu não entrava e o jogo pegando fogo desse jeito. Então para vcoc6e entrar no ritmo do jogo é um pouco difícil, mas graças a Deus a gente pôde buscar esse empate. Nosso primeiro objetivo era a vitória, mas com a fatalidade do gol que a gente acabou tomando a gente pôde conquistar um ponto importante da dificuldade que a gente enfrenta aqui com o tempo de viagem é muito difícil para nós, mas a gente conseguiu um ponto”, declarou o atacante alvinegro em entrevista ao SBT.
Situação do Timão na Copa Sul-Americana
Com o empate fora de casa, o Corinthians garante seu primeiro ponto na fase de grupos da competição. Agora o time está três atrás do América de Cali, que lidera o Grupo C e dois atrás do Huracán, que encara o Racing-URU nesta quarta-feira (9), às 19h.
Foco no Brasileirão
O Corinthians, que tem o Campeonato Brasileiro como prioridade ao menos neste momento, volta a entrar em campo no próximo sábado (12). O compromisso será às 18h30, contra o Palmeiras fora de casa. A expectativa em relação ao clássico é sobre a recuperação de diversos jogadores que sequer viajaram para a Colômbia.
A comissão técnica espera que Fabrizio Angileri, Gustavo Henrique, Igor Coronado e Memphis Depay possam estar à disposição para o duelo do próximo fim de semana. Já Hugo Souza e Rodrigo Garro seguem sem previsão de retorno.
Depois do dérbi, o Timão terá uma sequência de três jogos em casa. Pelo Campeonato Brasileiro o clube irá receber o Fluminense e Sport, nos dias 16 e 19 de abril.
Já no dia 24 de abril o Corinthians volta a entra em campo pela Copa Sul-Americana, recebendo o Racing-URU pela 3ª rodada da fase de grupos.
