Zetti durante entrevista para podcast “Parachinguela” (Reprodução – YouTube)
Zetti utilizou o perfil nas redes sociais para se manifestar sobre Manga, ex-jogador da seleção brasileira que faleceu nesta terça-feira (08), aos 87 anos. Se solidarizando com os familiares do ícone da posição de goleiro, ele destacou o quanto o ex-arqueiro foi importante como referência e inspiração no futebol.
Ídolo do Botafogo, Manga estava internado em um hospital no Rio de Janeiro e vinha lutando contra um câncer de próstata.
“Hoje perdemos uma lenda do esporte e na posição de goleiro, o grande Manga! Meus Sentimentos a todos os familiares amigos e fãs!”, disse Zetti na publicação.
Manga e a carreira sólida
Classificado como um dos melhores goleiros do Brasil de todos os tempos, Manga foi revelado nas categorias de base do Sport, tendo debutado no profissional do rubro-negro em 1955, quando tinha apenas 18 anos. Posteriormente, ele se transferiu para o Botafogo, onde ostentou bons números após dez temporadas.
As boas atuações no Glorioso lhe rendeu convocações à seleção, onde disputou 12 jogos, e jogou a Copa do Mundo de 1966, sendo reserva de Gilmar. Depois do Bota, ele ainda acumulou passagens por Nacional-URU, Internacional, Operário-MS, Grêmio, Coritiba e Barcelona-EQU, onde encerrou a carreira.
Zetti exalta boa fase de Rafael
Sempre ativo nas redes sociais, Zetti não esconde a admiração nutrida por Rafael, goleiro titular do São Paulo, que teve contrato recentemente renovado com o clube paulista até o final de 2027. Ao repercutir a atuação do arqueiro no duelo contra o Atlético-MG, pelo Brasileirão, o ídolo são-paulino rasgou elogios ao atleta.
Na avaliação dele, o dono da posição no time de Zubeldía vem sendo protagonista nos últimos jogos, com excelentes defesas executadas, garantindo assim resultados importantes para o Tricolor.
