E é por isso que estamos propondo, PELA ÚNICA VEZ, realizar este aniversário com 64 equipes, em três continentes simultaneamente. Para que todos os países tenham a oportunidade de viver uma experiência mundial, e para que ninguém neste planeta fique de fora desta festa que, embora seja jogada em todos os lugares, É A NOSSA FESTA”, disse o presidente da Conmebol.
A próxima edição da Copa do Mundo, em 2026, no Canadá, México e Estados Unidos, já será expandida. Pela primeira vez, o Mundial terá 48 seleções, contra 32 do torneio no Catar, em 2022.
