Der FC Barcelona und Trainer Hansi Flick (60) tanzen derzeit noch auf drei Hochzeiten – und ihre Performance kann sich sehen lassen.
In der spanischen Liga als Tabellenführer auf Meisterkurs, im Königspokal „Copa del Rey“ stehen die Katalanen im Finale gegen Erzrivale Real Madrid und in der Champions League ist Barça nach dem 4:0 gegen Borussia Dortmund im Hinspiel die Qualifikation für das Halbfinale so gut wie sicher.

Laut der spanischen Zeitung „Sport“ gab es im Vorfeld des BVB-Spiels ein Treffen, an dem u.a. Barcelonas Präsident Joan Laporta (62), Sportdirektor Deco (47) und Flicks Star-Berater Pini Zahavi (82) teilnahmen. Dabei ging es auch um die Zukunft des Trainers.
Ergebnis des Meetings: Flick soll zeitnah eine Vertragsverlängerung angeboten werden. Sein aktueller Kontrakt läuft noch bis Sommer 2026. Wie „Sport“ berichtet, geht es um eine Verlängerung bis 2027, ggf. mit der Option auf ein weiteres Jahr. Des Weiteren soll im Vertrag die Möglichkeit eines einvernehmlichen vorzeitigen Ausstiegs verankert sein.

Laut des Berichts ist die Klub-Führung mit Flick mehr als zufrieden und will das mit der Verlängerung honorieren. Die Idee sei, den Deal noch vor Saisonende abzuschließen, unabhängig davon, ob am Ende ein Titel herausspringt.

Jeden Tag trainiert man mit Freude, weil jeder sehr professionell arbeitet. So in der Form, in der Qualität habe ich es noch nicht gesehen.“
Klingt nach einer echten Liebesbeziehung, die aller Voraussicht nach noch lange anhalten wird.
