Hailee Steinfeld has been rooting for her fiance Josh Allen to lead the Buffalo Bills to their first Super Bowl title. While promoting her new film Sinners, the Oscar-nominated actress didn’t hesitate to throw her full support behind her quarterback beau when asked why the Bills would win it all.
“Why are the Buffalo Bills gonna win the Super Bowl?” a reporter from the Associated Press asked.

Without missing a beat, Steinfeld smiled and replied: “Why do you think? Look who’s at the helm.”
The response was brief but powerful-much like Allen‘s own words when he took the stage at the NFL Honors this past season. Though the Bills fell short in the AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Allen’s gratitude toward Steinfeld was unmistakable during his MVP speech.
“You’ve been my rock; you are my best friend,” Allen said. “I would not be standing on this stage if it weren’t for you.”
Power couple off the field and on the red carpet
Their public admiration isn’t one-sided. Allen recently praised Steinfeld not only for her support but also for his new, polished image.
“Anytime I look good, it’s because of Hailee. I promise you,” Allen joked.
Steinfeld, always quick with a humble response, added: “Luckily, he’s into hair care and skin care, so he’s got his whole little deal figured out… And then also trying to get him to wear SPF, you know what I’m saying?”
The couple began dating in 2023 and got engaged later that year. In her Beau Society newsletter, Steinfeld shared an intimate conversation with Allen about their engagement day. Allen admitted that keeping the proposal secret was no easy feat.
“I think I was most nervous about you finding out about the proposal,” Allen revealed. “It was hard to keep secrets from you and have other people in your life keep secrets from you. Then multiple times throughout the day, a song would come on, and I would tear up thinking about how special our day was going to be.”
Although the pair have kept their wedding plans mostly under wraps, there’s reason to believe that a big day is right around the corner. In March, Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins appeared on Good Morning Football and seemed to drop a not-so-subtle hint.
“Josh Allen is one of those guys and he sealed that deal. And soon to come. May 31. It’s happening,” Dawkins said, hinting at a wedding date.
While neither Allen nor Steinfeld has formally confirmed a date, sources have indicated to Us Weekly that May is indeed when the couple plans to say “I do.”
“They don’t want a long engagement, and the wedding planning is already underway,” a source told the outlet. “Hailee is very excited about the planning process, and now that Josh is done with the season, she hopes they can have more time to make decisions together.”
